Connexions is a youth support service for young people aged 13 – 19. It has been set up to offer every young person, whatever their circumstances, access to the best possible support and information to ensure a smooth transition to adulthood, citizenship and working life. Lots of organisations that support young people will be working together under the banner of Connexions.

The Connexions service has been available from Connexions West of England since April 2001 and supports young people who live in Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

We work in schools, colleges and in community venues to make sure we are accessible for you. We also run Connexions Centres in Bath, central Bristol, Filton, Kingswood and Weston super Mare. In school or college you will have access to a Connexions Personal Adviser who can offer advice and help. You will also find a Young People's Information Point that you can use to get information and ideas. If you've left school already to start on a training programme or are in your first job and thinking of changing your plans then you can contact us for information and advice. The information resources in our Connexions Centres will help you plan ahead.

Connexions Personal Advisers

Every young person has access to a Personal Adviser. Connexions Personal Advisers are available to help get the right advice and information you need to make decisions about your life, education and career choices. They will also give support, where needed, on health, lifestyle, housing, financial support and other personal issues. As a young person you can talk to a Connexions Personal Adviser about any of these issues. They are qualified and will make sure that you get access to the best possible information and advice. You will find Connexions Personal Advisers at Connexions Centres, in your community, in schools, in colleges and in youth centres.
