Careers education, information, advice and guidance
Careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) aims to help students develop the knowledge and skills to make successful choices, manage transitions in learning and move into work. A range of activities and facilities include:
- curriculum activities to explain 14-19 choices in education, training and employment
- publications to explain choices, encourage informed decision-making and signpost to sources of information
- careers software to help stimulate thought and provide information
- work-related learning
- one-to-one guidance to develop and support individual choices
- access to careers and lifestyle information via a Connexions Resource Centre/Young People's Information Point
- support for parents and carers.
