Six Young BME people lying on deckingCareers education, information, advice and guidance aim to help students develop the knowledge and skills to make successful choices, manage transitions in learning and move into work.  A range of activities and facilities are included:

  • Curriculum activities to explain 14-19 choices in education, training and employment
  • Publications to explain choices, encourage informed decision-making and signpost to sources of information
  • Access to software to encourage action planning - MyPlan4Life
  • Careers software to help stimulate thought and provide information
  • Work-related learning
  • One-to-one guidance to develop and support individual choices
  • Access to a Connexions Resource Centre/Young People's Information Point.
  • Support for parents and carers.
