e2e (Entry to Employment)

If after Year 11 you're not ready to start an Apprenticeship, employment with training or further education after Year 11, you might want to think about doing an Entry to Employment (e2e) programme.

e2e will help you find out about different type of work and learning.  It will also help build your confidence and your interest in learning and work. You'll be able to build skills that you can use in the workplace, known as key or employability skills.  These include communication, team working, using numbers and problem-solving.  Really useful whatever job you decide to do.  Everyone on e2e has the chance to work towards a qualification.

e2e programmes don't last for a fixed anount of time because the programme you follow will be build around your needs and interests.

If you are on an e2e programme, you may be able to receive money in the form of an Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA).

Speak to your Connexions personal adviser about e2e - they'll be able to tell you more about it and help you join a local programme.
