New Deal

New Deal for young people (aged 18-24) will help you find and keep a job or start work for yourself.  With the help of a Jobcentre Plus personal adviser you will get help to improve your skills and learn new ones.  

If you have been claiming Jobseeker's Allowance for six months or more, you must take part on New Deal for Young People to carry on getting some of your benefits.  There are exceptions if you have good reasons for not taking part.

Having the right skills and qualifications to offer employers is important.  Being prepared to carry on learning new skills is essential to keep a job or get a better one.
